Buying a car is the second biggest purchase of your life! Here are a few things to consider so you can make an informed decision.
- Financing- Prior to visiting any dealership, make sure you have an idea of the kind of deposit you can put down and what monthly payment you can afford. Financing your car can allow you to have your dream vehicle within your budget. It also helps you build your credit. Win, Win, Win!
- Credit Score- Check your credit score to see A) if you can get approved for a loan and B) to get an idea of what rate you might be eligible for.
- Car Comparisons- Do some research on the type of vehicle you want. The options it has, the cost of parts, the type of gas it requires and etc. It is important to know what vehicle best suits your life style! There are many luxury and economy options with very similar options/ features. A little bit of research and a discussion with your Sales Rep can go along way in helping you decide.
- Trade-In Vehicle- If you already have a vehicle but you are interested in a higher model or a different car all together, the trade-in vehicle can really help reduce your costs and help with your monthly payments!
- Carfax- A Carfax must be provided to you at no cost by the dealer you are shopping from. It is your responsibility to review the Carfax thouroughly, understand the vehicle history and see the service records. Your Sales Rep can also help in answering any questions you may ve as it pertains to the carfax.
- Warranty- Some vehicles are under Manufacturer's Warranty, some are not and depending on the regulations, all purchased vehicles may be under a safety warranty for a specified time. Regardless of all those factors, be sure to review and seriously consider purchasing extended warranty. Extended warranties allow you to drive your car with a peace of mind. You never know what may happen on the road, especially as your car ages. Protect yourself with extended warranties for a very small monthly fee.
These are a few factors to consider when your in the process of buying a new vehicle. Always remember, in addition to doing your own research, you can always consult your Sales Rep as well. Making an informed decision will benefit both the Seller and Buyer.
Happy Shopping!!!
